Jamie Merriam moved from Long Island, NY to Gilford, New Hampshire when he was 11 years and fell in love with Lake Winnipesauke. After graduation, his passion for boating and the water led him to find the Coast Guard. From there he became a commercial diver, a Commercial Boat Captain and then a Marine construction manager. He has had extensive lake and barge experience and has been a successful business entrepreneur with over 15 years-experience of creating and managing several successful companies in Australia including; a commercial construction company, a high-end tapas bar in the dining district and designed & managed the largest trampoline park in Sydney.

Betsy (O’Brien) Sullivan grew up in Acton, Massachusetts and graduated from Providence College with a Business Management and Finance degree. She has a successful career in Corporate Recruiting and also took some time off to be a stay-at-home mother to her 3 children before going back to her full-time career. When she’s not working, she enjoys boating, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. Her love of the water began early from her childhood, summering on East Grand Lake in Northern Maine.

Betsy and Jamie met in 2016 over their common love of boating and being on the water. When Jamie shared his dream of The Dive, Betsy was hooked with the business idea and they haven’t looked back. They can’t wait to share their dream with Lake Winnipesaukee and look forward to having you aboard this summer!

First visit and had no expectations! All the positive reviews were true! Betsy (co-owner)is warm and welcoming to all the patrons. Service was professional and not just one server... that is a nice change; practically no waiting to give an order. The menu has a good variety with reasonable prices. Would I recommend? Absolutely, with no hesitation!
